Sounds: There is Love

The gentle sounds of sweet serenity,
Secretly caressing a brand new day,
Just waking to the wondrous joy of early morning light,
Startle the soul into the stark reality of its existence.
The quiet murmur of an almost trembling breeze
Appears to be barely ruffling downy feathers,
As if the sleepy robin to suddenly awaken,
Or perhaps somehow just to tease.
The almost silent, pounding of trickling, cool water
Sprinkled with radiant rainbow hues,
Softly splashing over cold, black rocks,
Arouses the morning to its daily task of revival.
The plaintive call of the waking mourning dove,
Reminds the world of its seemingly hopeless plight
And yet somehow, the sounds of sweet serenity
Always end the relentless darkness of the blackest night.
The re-echo of love's silent voice
Whispering sweet nothings all over the world
Simultaneously, as if to say in total silence,
There is love and there is hope for all of humankind.

Listen to love’s silent voice.
