Lord, open men's ears so they can hear
The celebration of Christmas cheer,
The echo of children's laughter pure,
Resounding through out a world secure.

Lord, open men's eyes so they can see
The mirror of love's reality,
The wondrous beauty of our life
And work towards peace without new strife.

Lord, open men's hearts so they can hold
The thrill of new life, a joy to behold,
The wonder of infant Christ child's birth,
A blessing so filled with love and mirth.

Lord, open men's minds so they can find
A world of pure knowledge, the true kind,
That brings to all humankind waiting here,
A life that can be lived without fear.

God can awaken humankind to the true meaning of Christmas.
